Dogs who are a good fit:

  • Friendly with other dogs and not easily offended

  • Comfortable napping in a crate

  • Loves treats!

  • Not generally fearful or sensitive

  • Have had professional or dedicated at home training

  • Could use more regular exercise, training, dog time, and structure.

  • Puppies over 3 months who want good role models in their life

This is not a list of fast rules and I can often accommodate dogs who do not fit this list to a T.

What sets Day Camp apart from your average Doggy Day Care?

Day Camp is capped at 5 dogs plus boarders plus resident dogs who enjoy 4 fenced acres while being handled by a trainer holding multiple certifications with over a decade of experience. With a focus on behavioral wellness, healthy social dynamics, species specific enrichment, arousal regulation, obedience, time outdoors in nature, and adequate rest this program tends to retain Campers for years from puppyhood through the senior years. The average Doggy Day Care is staffed by part time employees without an emphasis on behavioral wellness or long term training goals with dozens of dogs in a small indoor space, not to mention most of them use the floor as the potty space!

Activities may include:
Play, off leash romps, light grooming, nail trims, treadmill training, fitness and body awareness training, taking turns, stationing, hiking, park trips, tug, light fetch, new toys, treat scatters, frozen food toys, chews, food puzzles, down stays, recall, leash skills, settling on a bed, tether training, and make long term dog friends!

My Day Campers are an integral part of my home and I cherish the relationships I develop with all of my “bonus dogs.”
